Earlier in the summer I drove up to Canada to do a bit of a re-shoot with Tanner & Victoria. I meant to post them earlier but didn’t get around to it until now. When I shot their wedding last December I had a bag stolen from our car. Unfortunately, it had a CF card in it with some photos from earlier in day. Most of the missing photos were taken at the Vancouver LDS Temple where they were married. The missing gear was easily replaced but the photos were not. I felt awful about the whole thing and knew it was only right make it up to them by going back to take photos where they were married. Seven months after their wedding I think they were even cuter together than they were the year before.
We knew the temple was closed for cleaning that day but we didn’t expect to find the gates to the inner grounds locked when we got there. We took some time trying to find someone that could open them for us, but when that didn’t work we decided to just go up and over. That was easy enough for Tanner and I but quite a feat for Victoria in her wedding dress! We had come all this way though so we couldn’t let a closed gate stop us. After taking our time on the empty temple grounds we went to investigate some photo spots we noticed on our drive over. We tried stopping at this amazing looking barn but were met by some fairly unfriendly property owners. Luckily our next stop at a small field of flowers next to a church went much better. The photos from that spot were definitely my favorite from the day. While you can’t see it in the pictures, there was a busy intersection next to the field and people kept honking and shouting congratulations from their windows. We all thought it was kind of funny for them to experience that again when they had been married all year. Thanks for looking!
