I’m so excited to share these photos from a wedding on a gorgeous day in Moses Lake.  The ceremony and reception were held in Gavin’s aunt’s meticulously landscaped backyard.  When Krystal was giving me the tour she told me that every flower, bush, and tree had been planted and cared for over decades of hard work.  It made the perfect setting for a relaxed and beautiful wedding.

We took photos before the wedding in an incredible off-site location.  Situated in fields and bushes in a canyon next to a lake, it felt like I could point my camera anywhere for a great shot.  Some of the scenery was absolutely epic!  I thought Krystal and Gavin’s first look was particularly awesome.  They both teared up and for a few minutes it was like it was just the two of them in that canyon.

About halfway through the shoot the shutter on my trusty 5D suddenly came to a screeching halt.  After years of service it finally wore out.  I had actually been wondering how much longer it would last me, so I was already planning on upgrading to a new camera.  Tay passed me her 6D and I finished the wedding with that.  This is why it’s alway important to have a backup!  The one time you need it makes it totally worth it to be prepared every single time.  I’m definitely sad about my 5D.  It was my dream camera a decade ago when it was released.  I bought mine from a friend a few years after it came out and I’ve become quite attached to it over the years.  I’m really excited about my new 5D Mark III though.  I can’t to take thousands a great photos with it in the years to come!
