Tay and I recently went on a two week trip to the southwest. We house sat for the first week in Utah before driving to Southern California and eventually back home from there. On our last night there we ended up with just enough time to take engagements for Kirsten and Daniel in Rock Canyon, Provo. There was nonstop torrential downpour for several days before this so I’m really glad things worked out. Ever since I had first hiked there several years ago I’ve wanted to take photos there. We had about a half hour until the sun would completely set so we made sure to hurry. The canyon climbs higher the further you go in so I think we were able to prolong the last of the sun just a bit longer by making our way up throughout the shoot. The sun setting, canyon walls, and leaves changing all combined to give things the feeling of fall in Utah.
